Floyd Mayweather says he has not agreed to face Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an official bout.
The former five-weight boxing world champion was said to have agreed a to face Nasukawa in Japan on 31 December.
Mayweather, 41, claims he had never heard of Nasukawa until attending a news conference in Japan this week.
The American says his team were “derailed” at the news conference as he had only been asked to compete in a non-televised “exhibition”.
