The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim tops list of PSVR's most-played games in US

Technology
Off the back of announcing PSVR has sold three million units worldwide, Sony just revealed the top 10 most-played VR games in North America. It’s Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR that comes out on top. The 2017 port of the open-world epic role-playing game remains one of Upload’s favorite VR experiences to date, so we’re not surprised to see it top the list even if it did come out a year later than many of the other titles. No doubt the PSVR Skyrim bundle released last year helped in that department. Up next is Sony London’s launch compilation, PlayStation VR Worlds. The game offers a handful of short experiences that take you deep below the sea and pit you in the middle of a heist in London. The game comes bundled in with a lot of PSVR units so, again, we’re not surprise

Countless leaks have not only revealed the names of two new gaming graphics cards, but their specifications too. Say hello to the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080. The name change has received mixed views, with some questioning the move from the highly familiar and still cool-sounding GTX series, however, there are already details on Nvidia's developer website as to why this might be, with the RTX platform 'fuses ray tracing, deep learning and rasterization' according to Nvidia. Leaked slides detailing both the RTX 2080 Ti and 2080 have been posted on RedditReddit ...

Google rolls back Android Messages to old design and removes dark mode

Technology
On Thursday, it looked as though Google was starting to roll out a redesigned version of its vital Android Messages app. The update featured some visual changes like getting rid of the blue bar at the top and switching over to the company’s Google Sans font. It also included a dark mode as an alternative to the default, so-much-white look. But late last night, as Reddit users were quick to notice, Google reverted back to the old Android Messages design — even for those who had already installed the most recent update. If you had the new Messages yesterday, open it up today and you’ll see that it’s gone. Yes, Google has the server-side ability to change the look of Messages on a dime. Some users had complained about losing the option to assign custom c

Samsung's strategy for keeping up with Apple is to be mean

Does being petty pay off?Next week, Samsung’s newest smartphone, the Galaxy Note 9, will hit stores. It’s a wonderful, giant phone that really has no rivals at that size. It follows Samsung’s Galaxy S9, another great phone, which it released in March. But sales of the S9 have reportedly been weak, accounting for a slowdown in the company’s earnings. Analysts have predicted it’ll be the worst-selling Galaxy phone in six years, according to The Verge.Samsung is still the dominant smartphone manufacturer in the world by a wide margin, according to the market-research firm IDC. But Apple, its longtime rival in the smartphone wars, recently fell to third place in worldwide market share, behind Huawei.Regardless, when it comes to the way Samsung is marketing its new devices, it appears to be f
