CLEVELAND, Ohio – Few things can give you the kind of rush you feel at the arrival of a summer blockbuster.

The excitement of the build-up. The potential payoff. The rush to get tickets. It’s something fans have been embracing since the 1970s and has inspired some of the most creative popcorn films of all time.

Our list of the “Greatest Summer Popcorn Movies” ranks the films based on popcorn value – a combination of box office, quality and overall entertainment value.

Get ready for sequels, action movie catchphrases, sharks, dinosaurs, wars in outer space and a whole lot more.
